Cat that ate the canary

I left the kitchen and followed the trail of torn up bits of Butterfinger wrappers. It was snack time, I had made my daughter a snack and now I wanted my chocolate! I followed the trail to a nook behind the couch. There sat my 3 year old covered in chocolate. When asked if she knew who took my Butterfinger, she pointed to the bird and said "He did it!" I knew we should have gotten a cat.
