Rumor had it that the house at the top of the hill, where an old lady lived with 3 mean cats, was a jackpot. That's right; she was handing out full sized Butterfingers on my favorite night of the year. Halloween was all about the hunt, after all. Admidst the gnarly little apples, lumpy popcorn balls, and teensy raisin boxes, we were in search of the giant, fill-your-hand-I-can't-believe-it's-the-real-thing BIG candy bars. My brothers and I raced through the rain in search of that golden treasure. Just as we reached the hilltop, the old lady's porch light clicked off. Dang pirates!
