Winging it with Mother Goose

It'd been a hard winter, the spring day was sunny and warm, and I decided to sneak outside with a book and a Butterfinger. I settled down next to the creek just a little ways from several Canadian geese. Close to the creek bank two of them were putting on quite a show and I'd set my Butterfinger down beside me as I watched their amusing antics. Relishing the moment I reached for my Butterfinger and... nothing! It was gone! And then I saw them behind me and to the right. A proud mother goose and her gosling brood moving quickly away, my Butterfinger tucked under her wing!
