the mystery

i was sitting at home, at my desk, and my butterfinger was next to me. There was a knock at the door, i got up to answer as no one else was home.I finished at door and came back but butterfinger was gone. I did not see it. I looked around but only saw my cat. I kept looking even thru trash, thinking maybe i forgot and ate it. I could not find it. After searching for an hour, the cat got up and was laying on it!
